Coming this fall for women: A ten-session Beth Moore study, Esther: It’s Tough Being a Woman, will begin Tuesday, September 14, 6:30 to 8:30pm, in the Reception Center. Worship Choir Fall Kickoff will be Thursday, September 2, 6-8pm, in the Reception Center. If you are age 14 or older and enjoy praising the Lord in song, come join us. No audition is required. We'll share an Italian-themed potluck meal followed by a preview of music for fall and Christmas. The church will provide the drinks. Sign up at the table at the back of the worship center. Our third mission team to the Israeli Arab Muslims leaves Saturday, October 2, and will return on Tuesday, October 12. The team members are Pastor Tad, Ginger Castleman, Virginia Wright, Steven McLeod, Mary Johnston, and Nate O'Brien. We will be prayer walking Muslim villages and interacting with people, looking for opportunities to share the gospel and distribute evangelistic materials. You can support our team in three ways: 1) provide prayer support for our team before and during our trip, 2) provide financial support for our team, helping relieve some of the financial cost of the trip, and 3) help us purchase DVDs of an evangelistic film, titled The Hope. Just $5 helps us put a Hope DVD in the hands of a Muslim who needs Christ. You can donate by designating a gift to the Israel Mission Team and purchase DVDs by designating a gift to Mission DVDs.
Men's Summit is Saturday, September 11, in the worship center. Men and boys, 12 years of age and older, plan to attend September 11 at 7:30am for food, inspiration and teaching. The cost is $3.
A new ministry for our college students kicks off this school year, called “Refrigerator Rights”. This is a way for HABC to reach out to some of our college students and provide a home away from home. This ministry will involve having college students come to your home for Sunday lunch, helping them with a place to do laundry, giving them a place to get away and do homework, etc. We have had a number of our families respond already, but we can always use more for this ministry of hospitality. If your family would be interested in serving in this way, or if you have questions about it, please sign up at the information table at the back of the Worship Center, or let us know on your tear-off connection card on the worship guide on Sunday. W.O.W. Women's Bible Study Kickoff Brunch will be on Wednesday, September 15. Ladies, come & bring a friend! Brunch is on us! Our fall study will be Jonah—Navigating a Life Interrupted by Priscilla Shirer. Workbooks are $13. Childcare through preschool age will be provided each week at the church. We will meet every Wednesday in the reception center from 9:15-11:15am through the 1st of December.
