The following around-the-house/recyclable items are needed for our VBS craft time this summer. Could you help us by saving the following items: toilet paper/paper towel tubes, plastic pop bottles of all sizes, canned goods’ cans, bottle caps, foil pie pans, etc. Thanks for helping out! Our high school and middle school students will celebrate the first Wednesday out of school on May 23 by heading to Fayetteville for a night of miniature golf and custard afterwards. The cost for Gator Golf is $4 per person, and students should bring money for ice cream afterwards at Shake’s. Students will meet at the Lighthouse at 5:30pm and depart shortly afterwards. We will arrive back in Siloam at 9:30pm.
If you love to sing and make melody in your heart to the Lord, join the choir this summer as a volunteer. Just show up on Sunday mornings at 10:15 in Room 38 to prepare to encourage the congregation in singing - no musical ability required.
Each summer, we take a break from regularly scheduled Community Life classes and enjoy meeting new people in five larger intergenerational classes. Children in Kindergarten and up are included in these classes. This year’s Remix will run from June 3 to August 12. You should receive a call soon from your teacher to inform you of which class your family will be in. Our theme this summer: “Jesus Loves the Church, and So Should You.” This will be a great time for our body to reaffirm why it gathers corporately from week to week.
The last Sunday for K-5th Children’s Community Life will be May 27. Beginning June 3, intergenerational classes will begin. Be sure to show your appreciation to the 16 teachers who have so faithfully taught these children’s classes all year.
We will have an ordination for Kyler Smith on Sunday, June 3, at 6pm. All are welcome. That afternoon at 4pm, all ordained men at HABC are invited to an ordination council in the Chapel.
VBS will be held June 25-29 from 6:00-8:15pm. Please register your child online at https://ww.groupvbspro.com/vbs/hl/HarvardKids. VBS is only made possible by members like you, so please let Pastor Kyler know how you will volunteer at this year’s VBS.
We are now taking applications and deposits for our Philly Church Planting Mission on July 13-21. This is a trip for all ages. Information and Application Packets are available at the Welcome Desk. Cost of the trip is $245 plus meals. The deadline for deposit and application is June 15. Contact Chad Mann if you have any questions.
