During the week of September 29th Pastor Tad will be hosting groups of our HABC families for a special time of fellowship. As part of the evening the Pastor will be sharing an update on the Strategic Planning Team’s progress. This is going to be a great opportunity for each of us to hear more about the mission and future of HABC. Invitations to the evening gatherings have been sent out, and you should have received yours in the mail over the weekend. Please be sure to RSVP to the church office by September 15th. If you did not receive an invite please notify the church office.
Starting this Wednesday night we will begin our study through the book of 1st Corinthians. Students are challenged each week to memorize a verse that will be from the text that is taught each week. We have printed Jouney Cards for students to have so that they can track their progress, keep up to date on the lessons taught, and look forward to what each week holds as far as learning God's word. There are Journey Cards at the Welcome Desk and at the Lighthouse for students to pick up. Make sure you grab one today!
Middle School and High School students are eligible to receive partial scholarships this year for the Philadelphia Mission Trip by memorizing verses each week from the Wednesday night Journey Cards. If students memorize the verses EACH WEEK and reports them to their small group leader their progress will be tracked and tallied at the end of February. These verses to memorize are on the JOURNEY CARDS at the Welcome Desk. The first round of verses to be reported for credit are for September 17th. The first week will not be counted for credit. *Note that students are challenged to do this each week. They must stay on track each week. Contact Pastor Chad if you have any questions.
The dates for the Philly Mission Trip will be over the Spring Break week in 2015. We will be taking a group to minister and serve alongside of Ridgeline Community Church on March 20-28. The cost is not determined at this point. More information will follow in the coming months. But go ahead and mark your calendar for this great oppurtunity. If you have any questions or would like more information on how you can serve on this trip, please contact Pastor Chad.
