Global Impact Missions

The Acts 1:8 Challenge
Missions is a priority focus at HABC.  We believe that Scripture mandates a challenge to the local church in Acts 1:8, "but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth."  This passage motivates our body to be missions-active by passionately sending missionaries to the field and by joyfully being sent to our community, nation, and the world with the Gospel.

Sending Ministry

The Cooperative Program of the Southern Baptist Convention
Through the Southern Baptist Convention we are involved in sending over 10,000 missionaries to Arkansas, North America, and the World.  10% of undesignated offerings support the cooperative program and HABC's involvement in SBC mission projects.  Vist www.namb.net and www.imb.org to learn more about Southern Baptist Missions.  HABC also supports and promotes the annual Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for World Missions.  This offering provides 50% of the budget for the International Mission Board, the largest missions agency in the world.

Independent Missions Support
Harvard also has a strong commitment to sending and supporting missionaries through vital independent mission organizations.  We currently support 17 independent missionaries from 12 different independent sending organizations such as Wycliffe, SIM, TEAM, Student Mobilization, Innovista, and others.  5% of undesignated offerings provide our support for independent missionaries.

Strategic Partnership and The Vision to be Sent
Our vision for missions is that every member is a missionary.  We are joyfully sent into our community on a daily basis with the gospel and we provide multiple opportunities for our people to be sent to our state, nation, and world through strategic mission partnerships.
