Family Forum Wednesday, Feb. 29, 6pm: The Church as Family
Family Forum is an opportunity for our church leadership to intentionally equip the parents who bring their children and youth to our ministries. Our upcoming forum’s topic is “The Church as Family”. One of the greatest lies our old enemy has perfected is the lie of self-sufficiency. Come to Family Forum and learn how a life of humble dependence within the context of the local church is a biblical absolute for our families. All parents of children and youth who participate in our ministries are strongly encouraged to attend. We will meet in the chapel. Activities will be provided for your children.
Join Us for a Hi-Tech Bridal Shower!
Help us celebrate Emily Eaton’s upcoming wedding via Skype! Emily lives in North Carolina and will be unable to attend her Bridal Shower in person. We are hosting the shower in our Chapel at 1:30pm on Sunday, March 11, and Sue Eaton will open Emily’s gifts while Emily watches on Skype. Emily is registered at Bed, Bath & Beyond, Target, and Pampered Chef.
Philadelphia Mission Trip, March 16-24
We will be taking a team on March 16-24 to work with a church planting team associated with the North American Mission Board. The week will consist of outreach opportunities, serving in children’s ministry, and prayer saturation. More information is available at the Welcome Desk along with the Mission Team Application. Men's Pheasant Hunting Trip
A men's pheasant hunting trip has been planned for March 17 at Showmebirds in Baxter Springs, KS. The cost to hunt is $166 per gun and $17 for a Kansas hunting license. Please contact Mitch Wright at 479-790-2615 with questions.
99 Balloons' Recess Ministry Opportunity
Our church is forming a partnership with Ability Tree, an organization in our own downtown that provides respite for families with children who have special needs. Beginning Friday, March 23, we will begin serving in their monthly “rEcess” program, which runs from 5:15pm-10pm. If you feel unprepared to work with children who have special needs, that shouldn’t keep you from serving! A training day will be held March 2-3 in Fayetteville. If you are interested in serving these families in need in our community, please contact Pastor Kyler.
